The famous Café Eclectic, which is within walking distance of Rhodes is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and my favorite specialty of theirs has to be the Crème Brûlatte. It tastes like Creme Brûlée. And it has two shots of espresso. How could you go wrong? [Also, it costs about 15 cents less than what I usually order at Starbucks, and going to Eclectic is supporting a local Memphis business. Need I say more?]

I would also recommend their pastries, their omelets, and most definitely their roasted potatoes. So delicious.

Even though I have access to a car, I usually walk there because a)it’s kind of hard to find parking during their busy hours and b) making the 0.5 mile trek makes it seem more socially acceptable to get a cup of ice cream from the Rat later.
